Bright Shines Your Name
In the "Sports Buzz" section of the Sept. 20 edition of The Kansas City Star, there's a mention about the poor performance Tiger Woods gave when asked to sing his school fight song. Tom Lehman, captain of the U.S. Ryder Cup team, made the request of all his players.

Scott Verplank, a former OSU golf standout, is quoted saying "He (Tiger, a Stanford grad) wasn’t good, and he didn’t like doing it. I wouldn’t recommend he go to a recording studio or anything .... everybody had a good laugh."

What do you want to bet that Scott had no problem belting out the OSU fight song and alma mater?
