Hornets In Oklahoma City
Although Kansas City was hoping the NBA's Hornets might come here, playing in OKC's Ford Center is cool too.
Hurricane Katrina has forced the New Orleans Hornets basketball team to move to Oklahoma City for the 2005-2006 season. Recently it was announced that the Hornets have acquired fellow Poke alum Desmond Mason. Cowboys attending Hornets' games also will have the opportunity to see two other first-round draft picks from oSu. Tony Allen plays for the Boston Celtics and Joey Graham plays for the Toronto Raptors. These teams will visit OKC's Ford Center.
For more information on tickets, visit the Hornets website. The chapter hopes to obtain a couple of tickets for a game to raffle at a future KC Cowboys event or even offer as a door prize.
