Head coach John Smith passed Tommy Chesbro as OSU’s all-time winningest wrestling coach with the team's recent victory over No. 18-ranked Arizona State. The win was Coach Smith's 228th career victory.(Read story on okstate.com)
However, the top-ranked Pokes' record of 30 consecutive dual wins was snapped by No. 2 Minnesota during the finals of the National Duals. The 21 to 14 match could have easily gone in favor of the Cowboys. Which means, a rematch is likely come the national title tournament. It takes place March 16-18 in Oklahoma City.
