Five Wrestlers Advance
Oklahoma State's wrestling team created some distance from the rest of the pack during the second day of the national wrestling championships. The Pokes were in the lead late Friday afternoon with 76 points. Iowa was in second with 47.5 points in the team standings. Five Cowboys advanced to the semifinals. Click here for live results available on the NCAA's website.Cowboys advancing are Nathan Morgan, Zack Esposito, Johny Hendricks, Jake Rosholt and Steve Mocco. In the consolation bracket are Brandon Mason and Coleman Scott.
The semifinals are Friday night, March 17, and will be carried live on television in many markets on ESPNU. The finals are Saturday. The championships are taking place in Oklahoma City's Ford Center. You can bet, there's likely plenty of orange in the place. Go Pokes!
