Big 12 Media Days, Preseason Picks
Kansas City will host Big 12 Conference coaches and players for the annual football media days, taking place July 24-26 at the Marriott on the Country Club Plaza. The Cowboys are scheduled to visit with national and local television, print, and radio reporters on July 25 beginning at 10 a.m. Scheduled to join Coach Gundy at the event are Victor DeGrate (LB), Corey Hilliard (OL) and D'Juan Woods (WR).
The Star recently printed pre-season picks as determined by a panel of media writers covering the Big 12 Conference. Oklahoma State is picked to place fifth in the Big 12 South, with OU predicted to top the division (23 of 28 votes) over defending national champion Texas. Nebraska is picked to win the north division (21 of 28 votes). Offensive lineman Corey Hilliard is the Cowboys lone player on the preseason team.
The division champions meet in Kansas City's Arrowhead Stadium on Saturday, Dec. 2.
