Victorious In Season Opener
A season-opening victory has all Cowboys feeling good. Albeit a Division-AA foe, but a win is a win!The 52 to 10 win over Missouri State included several bright spots including Cornerback Perrish Cox returning the opening kickoff 96 yards for a touchdown. He was selected the Big 12 Conference special teams player of the week for the feat. According to okstate.com, Barry Sanders is the only other player in school history to return the season-opening kickoff for a touchdown.
Arkansas State is next up for the Pokes, Sept. 9 at 6 p.m., from Little Rock's War Memorial Stadium. The game will be televised on ESPNU.
