Cowboys Start Conference Play
Oklahoma State starts conference competition Saturday, Jan. 6, against Baylor. Game time is set for 5 p.m. from Gallagher-Iba Arena. Although originally scheduled for ESPNU, it was announced that the game will be televised by the Cowboy Sports Network.
With the Chiefs playoff game starting at 3:30 p.m. also on Saturday, one might be hard pressed to find a place airing the contest between the Cowboys and Baylor.
Oklahoma State is off to a great start at 14-1. According to okstate.com, the team ended nonconference play with a record-setting performance against Southwestern Oklahoma State. The final score was 129-77. Mario Boggan scored a career-high 36 points and JamesOn Curry added 31. It marked the Poke's first 100-point game since Jan. 30, 2005, when the Cowboys beat Colorado 104-86. It also broke the previous school record of 127 points, set Dec. 3, 1977, against Santa Fe.
OSU currently is ranked No. 12 in the AP and the Coach's polls.
