OSU fans are known for having big hearts. Having a strong heart also is important.
Friday's win over the tournament's No. 2 seeded-Texas A&M on the second day of the Big 12 Tournament is a good example on why a strong heart is helpful. With about five minutes left, many OSU fans might have thought about calling it quits. However, the team had other thoughts and came on strong to erase the deficit. With hardly any time left, the Pokes sealed the deal. And even then it was only after A&M took and missed three shots before the buzzer sounded. OSU won 57-56.
The victory places the Pokes in the Big 12 Tournament semi-finals against No. 3-seeded Texas. The game is expected to start about 3:20 p.m. on Saturday. If you're out and about, stop by Fox and Hound in Overland Park to watch the game with other OSU fans. Could be another exciting and fun game. The tournament's other semi starts at 1 p.m. and features No. 4 seed Kansas State v. No. 1 seed Kansas.
