Cowgirls Garner No. 3 Seed
After a strong run in the Big 12 Tournament, the Cowgirls were awarded with the No. 3 Seed in the New Orleans Regional. This is the highest seed ever earned by a Cowgirls team! The team finished the season 25-7, with an 11-5 conference record. They lost in a competitive race to Texas A&M in the championship game of the Big 12 Tournament.The team plays Saturday, March 22, taking on No. 14-seeded East Tennessee State. The game is in Des Moines, Iowa. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. and is set to air on ESPN2. The game's winner will take on the winner of the Ohio State and Florida State contest.
